About Nik Munro
After leaving art school in her hometown of Aberdeen, Nik moved south to Dorset where she found a career in design and illustration. Some years later, a move to Somerset followed, where she was employed to run a design to print studio. Fast forward another decade, her adventures continued, with a whirlwind of visiting and living in various countries whilst, at the same time, renovating an old property with spectacular views of the Aberdeenshire countryside. It is here she called home and quickly set up a studio to work from, surrounded by constant inspiration from the changing light, seasons and dark skies. New and full moons never fail to fill her with awe, resulting in capturing many a moonscape when the skies are clear. She's also been known to venture out on dark nights to capture Northern Lights - Aurora Borealis, which are a regular sight in her neck of the woods.
During her years of overseas travel, she made it her mission to explore more of her homeland - in particular, the wilderness of northern Scotland. These cards and prints are a reflection of these regular trips with captures from countryside to coast and everything in-between.
